Medication For Bleeding Hemorrhoids
Hemorrhoids are a soft bulge in the inflamed form in the anus or rectum area of the body. When you pass the stool, and if it is hard, then it causes the hemorrhoid to bleed. This can cause many serious health problems if left untreated and so we need to provide proper medication for bleeding hemorrhoids.
So the next logical question is what the causes for the hemorrhoid to bleed are! Well the answer cannot be so simple. It is a mix of many things but they can be divided into primary causes and secondary causes.
Primary Causes- the primary causes are ill-health, constipation, stress on rectal veins, obesity among others.
Secondary Causes - the secondary causes are stress filled lifestyle, long working hours, irregular sleep and eating cycle, lack of exercise to name a few.
For some the problem is on the starting point but some realize this only when it has reached such a stage, where only lifestyle changes or changing the eating habits will not lead to recovery but proper medication has to be taken and is the only solution.
The medication can be of various kinds.
First is no medication. There are bunch of people who do not take any medicine because they feel that the situation will get cured by itself. This can be effective in case the sufferer has a good immune system and the body is able to heal itself. Though very risky, this is a solution for the strong willed, though not advised by any medical practitioner.
Second is the local cure i.e. external cure like going for a warm bath once you have passed the stool, use of a bidet or creams can provide some relief. But this is a temporary solution only and not a long lasting one.
Third is going back to the nature like improving of posture, taking of herbs and dietary products, eating fiber rich food and squatting for bowel movement. This will be effective only when it has been practiced over a month.
Fourth and the most instant reliever is the surgical treatment. There are various ways to combat hemorrhoids under this head.
The Rubber Band Ligation - In this procedure, multiple rubber bands are placed on the hemorrhoid. This cuts off the blood supply and soon it becomes dry and is ejected by the body during normal bowel clearing. This is in most cases almost pain free and is successful most of the time. However in certain cases this results in aggravation of the hemorrhoid and increases the pain. But this method is hugely recommended.
The Electric Shock (Electrocoagulation) - In this method either a direct or a bipolar current is given in the area where the hemorrhoid is. This causes the hemorrhoid to become inactive and die a natural death and by excreted by the body.
Enema - Under this procedure, the rectum is cleaned using water. This is generally done under the supervision of a doctor but a home-based enema is also available. Here water is inserted into the rectum till it can hold no more. Then the patient forces all the water out, this cleans the rectum completely and in most cases the hemorrhoids are also flushed out.
These are some of the most popular ways of combating the hemorrhoids. But as always prevention is better than cure.
