I treat my mental health illness by myself,
with keeping All of Laws in Japan .
Then do you treat your sickness by yourself ?
Can you calculate your medicine for your mental health care illness by yourself ?
Do doctors give many medicine to mental healthcare patients ?
What is the Advices from doctors then ?

NO ONE should try to treat their own mental illness or any OTHER major illness. ONLY a doctor is qualified to do that. You should get to a psychiatrist or other professional IMMEDIATELY.

Mental illness are like body illness if u dont get better in a few days…. go to the doctor…. and these are worse… cause the body pain makes u go.. and get treatment… and like the mental is with different manifestation…. u dont care so much.. and the problem gets bigger…. So the best way is the psychiatrist if u tried by yourself and didnt worked…. Some illness needs a medication to help… and terapy… I need both :-/

Yeah, I treat my mental illness with the medications that my doctors prescribe. If they don’t work or I get side effects, I tell my doctor and adjust my meds.
I would love to be med free, but as an example, when I went off of my meds last week, I tried to kill myself and was court ordered to be put in the mental hospital for 8 days (just got out Wednesday). I learned my lesson. That I need meds and I need to NOT go off them.

mental illness is a condition that can be treated with different approach, but it is better to consult a psychiatrist. depending on the extent and type of illness, some illnesses are out-rightly dealt using alternative intervention ie therapy but severe injurious mental health condition are treated with medication and they are prescribed base on assessment.

There is no shame attached to mental illness in this day and age,I think you need the very best advice which only a Doctor can give who would probably refer you to a psychiatrist which means ,one to one and may be, find the root cause of your illness but would probably prescribe some Antidepresants which may be only tempary a lot of things can be over come by one self but this is a battle which needs more than one

Ive been on medication since 1994 some of that time doing it the natural way, but I have have more serious illness which means meds for the rest of my life (no matter what Tom Cruse has to say) if I feel my meds are at the point of needing to be increased I but I always tell my Dr.

Depends what your mental health problem is, how well you understand it & how well your doctor understands it. If the doctor is no good – & lets face it, they’re trained to treat bodies, not minds – then you could well be far better off trying your own solutions provided that you have somebody close who will tell you if you’re going crazy & haven’t noticed.
Probably best to start with some study of the illness first and see whether the diagnosis you’ve been given is actually correct. Most mental health diagnoses are inaccurate. They recognise you have an illness, but as the symptoms of various illness are similar, misdiagnosis is more likely than correct diagnosis (for example, in my own case I’d been variously misdiagnosed as suffering stress, depression & even schizophrenia before the actual cause was accidentally picked up correctly by a trainee counsellor as being PTSD).
Next problem is to find something available without a doctor’s prescription that will relieve the symptoms. Psychotherapy or counselling can be useful, but It may need to be supplemented with something that may sound weird but works for you. For example people suffering depression who’ve lost their “get up & go” do quite well by eating lots of the food colourings that are known to make kids hyperactive, but it does make them crabby tempered, so they have to withdraw after a while. Others have said eating animal brains works well, but if your country is scared about VCJD, then you won’t be able to get them.
After that, you’ll feel better & be able to work on finding something that will tackle the cause of the problem.
You may need to go through a lot of training & study to reach this far, but it is possible if your recovering health means enough to you.

No, I don’t treat myself for mental illness. I go to a mental clinic where I get professional help from a doctor who prescribe medicine for me. The advice the doctor gives is that if your condition worsen then they will try to find a stronger medicine.
